Looking Back at Prague Power Conference 2025
AI, Automation and Insights from Practice
A unique event, the Power Conference, organised by the Data Brothers team, was the largest in its history this year. It offered five stages, dozens of expert presentations, pre-conference workshops and keynotes directly from Microsoft’s product specialists.
On 3rd and 4th December 2025, the community of enthusiasts and those interested in Microsoft Power Platform gathered once again at Prague’s Cubex Centre. The aim was to share practical experiences, bring inspiration, explore ways to use the tools and offer innovative perspectives in connection with the development of AI across the Microsoft ecosystem.
We were honoured to be partners of this great event again. Once more we witnessed what technology can achieve in a business environment in the hands of passionate professionals.
Which topics resonated the most?
Building Applications with the Help of AI and Copilot
One of the main trends is the shift from the traditional “clicking” of applications to development with the help of autonomous AI agents. Artificial intelligence is not an end in itself but a practical tool that helps you speed up processes and decision-making in your company.
Demonstrations of Copilot deployments within the Power Platform clearly proved that automation is no longer just about simple flows: it concerns complex scenarios in which AI takes over a large part of the work and frees up people’s hands.
Scaling with Power Automate with an Emphasis on Governance and Reliability
Another major topic was how to keep automations under control when they expand across the whole organisation. Governance, monitoring and multi-tenant architecture became key terms. There were discussions about how to set rules, monitor performance and ensure that integrations remain reliable and sustainable even under massive deployment.
Power BI and Microsoft Fabric for End-to-End Data Management and Reporting
The area of data analytics is attracting ever greater attention. Power BI combined with Microsoft Fabric brings a unified approach to data – from acquisition through transformation to visualisation. This end-to-end model simplifies the work of analysts and managers alike because the tedious linking of different tools is no longer necessary. Fabric also opens the door to advanced scenarios in which data flows are connected with AI and modern cloud services.
What Topics Did the Konica Minolta Teams Present?
This time you could see us in two sessions:
Running Power Automate at Scale: Lessons Learned from Large-Scale Integrations
A more technically oriented presentation by Jan Renč (Solution Architect) and Šimon Dědek (Power Platform Consultant). The colleagues described in detail the development of a new integration platform for automotive CRM. They outlined scenarios in which a typical car dealer works with over 15 different interfaces and a huge volume of data.
Key points:
- Power Automate was used as the main orchestration tool, supplemented by Azure Functions, Service Bus, Relay and SQL.
- The migration of millions of records ran fully automatically, for example details of vehicles, service actions and billing items.
- Solutions to issues with race conditions: eliminating unnecessary runs, introducing monitoring, using asynchronous processing, deduplicating data and adopting a “golden record” approach to ensure data integrity.
- CDB (Consolidation Database), where Azure SQL serves as the central repository and can natively process messages, deduplicate data and provide both staging and master areas for their management.
Scaling Power Automate is not just a technical challenge but also a matter of governance and strategy. The key is proper orchestration and architecture so that automation remains reliable even when migrating millions of records. Power Automate also offers a visual environment where every integration run is trackable and allows rerunning with the same data, which is crucial for large projects.
Participants could see for themselves that a well-designed system can reliably and easily process large volumes of data, clearly monitor every step of the automation and, when necessary, easily repeat or adjust individual parts of the process. The whole solution is ready for further growth and adaptation to new requirements.
Lost and Found under the Guidance of Copilot. How AI Helps the Lost and Found Process.
In discussion form, in collaboration with Zásilkovna, we presented the implementation of artificial intelligence in the Lost and Found process. Attendees saw how a combination of tools such as Canvas App, AI Builder, Copilot Studio and Azure AI Foundry enables the automation of identifying lost shipments and significantly increases the accuracy and speed of the search.
Our great thanks go to Vojtěch Žurek, Power Platform Manager at the Packeta Group, for accepting the invitation and coming to share his experiences. Representing Konica Minolta alongside him were Roman Berger (Senior Solution Architect, Team Leader Power Platform and Dynamics 365) and Samuel Kantor (Cloud and Security Consultant, AI Technology Specialist).
It comprised primarily practical demonstrations. The main things presented on stage:
- Introduction of the UPA Manager (Unidentified Packet Article Manager), an application built on the Power Platform that enables the management and categorisation of found items across Packeta Group’s depots.
- How to do it in the AI Builder & Copilot Studio environment: ensuring automation of description and categorisation of shipments, eliminating errors and speeding up the process by hundreds of per cent.
- Introduction of UPA Detective in the complaints-handling and automatic search process.
- Integration with other systems – internal system, ticketing system, complaint form, Reclaim Hub.
Main benefits of the project:
- Over 10,000 found items processed per month
- Process acceleration of more than 700% compared with the previous solution
- Improvement in the quality of input descriptive data
- Categorisation error rate reduced to 0%
- Advanced volumetrics makes it possible to retrospectively claim up to 50,000 oversized parcels per quarter with traceability over 90%
The presentation of the entire Packeta Group project proved that AI is not just a buzzword. When you cleverly embed it in the right process it delivers real results. In the Lost and Found process the combination of AI and Power Platform significantly strengthened customer care.
